To celebrate Spring, the Wellness Initiative is hosting our third smART (Science Meets Art) event themed around flowers and foliage, this time as a choose-your-own-adventure event!
We will provide the tools and materials for plant (or kelp) pressing, making realistic tissue paper flowers, drawing, and watercoloring, along with instructional and inspirational books on each topic and some chill music. If you're curious to try out or practice any of these art forms, come play with us!
No previous experience required; all experience levels are welcome! As always, you’re also welcome to bring any other craft you’re working on, or just stop by to socialize.
Event details: Springtime Choose-Your-Own-Adventure
Wednesday May 18th at 12pm
All are welcome! It’s a hybrid event, so you can join us in person at BRC 224, or on zoom:
Extra details: If you want to learn how to press plants and/or kelp, please bring something fresh to press. I will bring my press from home and show you how to use it. For the other activities (painting/drawing/paper flowers) it might help if you bring a living thing to reference, but you can also just reference photos.
